A message to our employees, customers and communities:

As COVID-19 continues to spread, we’re taking necessary precautions to protect our employees and serve our customers. XPO plays a critical role in addressing this crisis by delivering food, medical devices and supplies, technology and more that families, communities, hospitals and businesses depend on.

In areas with government-mandated lockdowns or shelter-in-place orders, the United States Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has made a special exemption for transportation and logistics companies:

“Functioning critical infrastructure is imperative during the response to the COVID-19 emergency for both public health and safety as well as community well-being. Certain critical infrastructure industries have a special responsibility in these times to continue operations.”

Our primary focus is safeguarding our employees, many of whom are on the front lines of moving goods through the supply chain. Our teams have shown inspiring resourcefulness in navigating this unprecedented event. We're grateful for every effort our employees make to take care of each other and keep supply chains running.

We’re following the guidance of the World Health Organization (WHO), the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and our own company protocols, including our Pandemic Paid Sick Leave offering for employees affected by COVID-19. We've instructed employees to stay home if they’re ill, to be tested if they believe they've been exposed to COVID-19 and to report any exposure, health concerns or travel to high-risk areas. When necessary, we're temporarily closing facilities for deep cleaning or thorough sanitation.

We've added Pandemic Paid Sick Leave to our Paid Time Off (PTO) benefits package, allowing affected employees to take up to two weeks (10 days / 80 hours) of additional sick leave on top of their normal PTO.

We've aggregated internal COVID-19 Employee Resources (sign-in required), including information on global health procedures and alternate work arrangements (where applicable). Employees can consult our internal Workplace COVID-19 Info Central (sign-in required) for information and resources on COVID-19, human resources procedures and policies, information security instructions, remote working best practices, and more.

We've encouraged all employees to safeguard their mental health. The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available at no cost to assist our employees and their family members with telephonic support and referrals in a variety of categories, including counseling, crisis consultation, legal issues, personal finances, work-life balance and more.

The EAP is a confidential service available 24/7, 365 days a year. Please visit XPO Benefits Healthy Resources for additional information.

XPO customers can visit Move Forward for service updates and timely information on how we’re working to serve changes in demand.
