National Truck Driver Appreciation Week

Today, XPO kicks off National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (NTDAW), a time to recognize truckers for the work they do across the nation each day. You don’t need to look any further than the bright red XPO logo on our trucks going down the highway to know who the backbone of our company is – it’s our drivers. Without our drivers, we cannot move the world forward.

We value our drivers every day of the year, and during NTDAW, we have the opportunity to join in a bigger celebration that highlights to the rest of the country just how important truck drivers are. During this special week, we’re sharing a series of videos that spotlight the hard work, dedication and fun-loving side of our drivers.

Transportation made this country what it is today. Trucks move around 70% of all the freight tonnage in the US. Combined with e-commerce, truck drivers are completely changing today’s shopping experience – and that’s helping consumers get what they need, when they need it. So, while we’ve always depended on hard-working truck drivers to keep our markets humming, the role they play today is more important than ever. They’re quite literally moving our economy forward.

That’s why we’re honoring the 3.5 million men and women around the country who, through their hard work and professionalism, keep freight moving safely and on time – for all of us.
